Gone Flyin'
Hi Larry,

I thought I had posted to this thread last week but it seems it got lost in space somewhere.

To recap, Flying Scale Models

http://www.modelactivitypress.com/fs-monthly.htm

published a plan in their March 2003 issue entitled "Flying Fokker's First". They have back issues available for 4.50 UK pounds, postage and packages inclusive and you can order one directly from their website or try:

http://www.wiseowlmagazines.com/Flying_Models_FS.html

in the USA, they often have back issues available.

The article was for 1/8th scale free-flight version of the Spider and there is enough of a drawing in the magazine to scale to whatever size you need. At 1/8th scale the model is 54" wingspan.

I have a soft spot for the very early fliers, especially the monoplanes, this one would make for a very unusual and interesting electric.

If you would like more details on the article send me a PM and I will try and answer your questions.

Thanks Graham

I saw sites to order plans.
We don't need not stinking plans.

This is for my buddy Mike. All he wants is a 3 view.
He did not give me any money to buy planes. (cheap *astard)

He likes building from 3 views.
This is his last project,
R.A.F b.e.2
1:12 scale
37" ws , GWS "A", 9.6oz. w/ 300 mah nimh

it's setting next to his camel of the same scale

Thanks for your help.
I will keep looking for the 3 view untill he forks over the money.

Nice looking ship, my compliments.

I started building an electric FF BE-2e from the incredibly detailed Flying Scale Inc. plans years ago, may have to redo it a bit larger for R/C.

BTW this fellow appears to have those above mentioned Spin plans, he's looking to trade plans; perhaps your friend might contact him.

Thanks!
