If the effective center of the horizontal force generated by yawing is above the vertical C.G., the plane will bank into the turn, with or without dihedral. If I remember the configuration of the DR1 right, one wing is in a 'high' position and one is a parasol. With that configuration, if you mount your equipment, particularly the battery, as low as possible to get a low vertical C.G., the plane will probably bank into the turn.
