How many channels do you need?

I am wondering how many channels one would need to operate a quad with a naza v2 with gps and a 2 axis gimble? I currently have a dx7s and I am wondering if I have enough channels...

I am wondering this too. I am getting into a quad (F450) and I want to know how many channels are needed. I will in the future like to use the controller to control a gimbal as well.

Dx7 should be fine.
4 for flight control
1 for flight mode
1 for gimbal tilt
1 for IOC if you want that feature

What radio do most guys stick with? I see a lot of Spektrum stuff but I also like JR radios. Is there really a difference or just a preference? Is there a compatibility issue when it comes to Dragonlink or EZUHF?

Mostly personal pref, they all have pros and cons depending on what you prefer.
