More photos of Mountain Model's new design

I'v built the prototype aerobatic wing for the new plane. Hopefully I can fly it tomorrow. This one is 4 channel with a symmetrical wing. It should be really hot. The UrbanFlyer is close to hovering so I'm hoping that I can go vertical with this one.

Still looking for that perfect name.

Nice looking plane. What are the specs on it? If you are looking for a name, how about calling it "the parkfighter"? That was the name I used for my latest foamie scratch built and it is capable of going vertical with the right prop/motor/battery combo. Here was a pic of it doing a test hover in the living room (don't try at home). Since then, I've flown (and crashed) it at the field a few times.

How about calling it Switch.

Doug, how does the Aileron servo work? Is it mounted to the Fuse, or is there no Aileron on the trainer wing?

Kirby, the aileron servo is in the wing. I hope to also make a aileron trainer wing for this plane that will be more like a DuskStik wing with ailerons. That will give you three wing options for this plane. As you progress in your abilities, the plane can progress with you.

That is sweet!

What power plant and battery set up are you using?

To me it looks like Sport or Sport-E would suite. Do I win a kit?

Cant wait to hear how she fly's!

I know it's a little premature but have you thought of a ballpark cost for the kit as yet? The only problem is with a bird that does everything we'd all have only one bird. Yea Right! (My wife would go for that!)
I'm in line for one of the beta kits.... lets see I have a spare GWS A and a spare M100 and about every battery pack known to man... what else do I need?

New design

Hi Doug,
Looks pretty good - how about 'Mountain Streek' or 'High Streek'. I would certainly like to start with the aileron training wing version and look forward to its release.

New Plane

Hey Doug -

Looks great. I really like the idea of the gradual increase in skill level on the same ship. The ability to go back and forth based on conditions and mood is great as well. Is your trainer aileron going to be 3 channel for those of us with Focus 3 radios?

Now that I'm employmentally challenged, being able to stick with the same gear is mandatory. Can't let a lttle thing like getting laid off get in the way of flying!

I love that covering. Really shows off the great structure.

NAME? How 'bout Mountain "Climber".

Good lookin' plane, nice concept!

Hey Mattk,

Seen this pic before; how come the prop ain't turnin'? And you cropped out your liitle boy. He was holding the transmitter looking off in another direction as I recall.

Nice looking plane though, and I like the "parkfighter" name for it.
