The list contains everything but:
- LFCN-490 (could not find a place to buy it other than from China with 30 days lead time)
- SMA connector
- RFM23BP SMD
- pin headers

I used caps & resistors bought in kits from aliexpress so I'd assume they're not the best quality and they work just fine so don't worry too much about specs. The only thing to watch out for is D6 & D10 - they're 0805. That caught me out.

The LFCN-490 is a real pain in the ass. Can someone get the CAD file and modify the board to use a more widely available low pass filter?

I put together this list of components - not sure if you've seen it? I'll add your sharable cart to the spreadsheet if that's ok? https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...NOU/edit#gid=0

ULRS Mini boards finally tested!!

So been kinda busy and have had the pcbs i designed a while ago sitting on my desk but finally i've got round to putting them together and have tested them in my 9xr-pro, even managed to get telemetry working too.
And they work

If anyone else would like to try them they're basically a smaller version of the sponge board with a few more features:
  • Small size 3.9cm x 5cm
    Onboard TO-220 regulator
Uses through hole components for simple build
    Transmitter JR slot compatible connections
    Header pin for serial: gnd,rx,tx,5v
Header pin for button and buzzer: gnd,button,buzzer,5v
And it's dirtypcbs so its cheap

And heres a link to order and more pictures: http://dirtypcbs.com/store/designer/...-007trains-zip

So if anyone wants to think of a name for it I'm open for ideas

Anyway super happy and now i've got some birds that need building

Excellent ! I've added it to the site here : http://www.itluxembourg.lu/site/apmp...mate-lrs-mini/

I propose to name it the Starfish board, because it's very similar to the spongeboard, while staying very simple to build. (and as everyone knows Starfishes are Sponges' best friends)

One question : Is failsafe function exist on this beta firmware ?

thanks
Yes it does exist, but isn't usable on 100mW modules because of a bug in the current beta (wrong pin for the button). This will be solved in the 2.34 : http://www.itluxembourg.lu/site/future-features/

LOL, everyone loves a chocolate starfish Nice work on the board mate! Damn, there's quite a few options now! Well done guys!

I'm planning on connecting an arduino pro mini and hc05/hc06 bluetooth module within the taranis module bay for telemetry and bluetooth and need a regulated voltage supply. Apparently there's supposed to be a 6V supply but I'm not reading any voltage on the pin. Am I alone with this problem?

I believe, most pics on the net are misleading, it's not +6v
If you open your taranis, it's called "Heart beat" pin

Thanks mate. What's everyone else doing when connecting arduinos etc in the module bay?

Edit: OK, had a quick look, I'll hook a BEC up to my vRx/monitor setup and get 5v that way - feed the cables into the bay.

I power mine of the +5v pin of the Wolfbox module.
Can't you use +Bat pin connected to arduino's raw pin?

In any case, looking forward to your taranis telemetry, I never managed to get it working, hopefully, you will.

Hi Ben, how about ulrs mini schematic ? is pin for the button right (D10) ?

HC05/HC06 requires 3.6-6V - doesn't matter, just wired up a small BEC.

I got the telemetry working on the Taranis using Mike's FrSky-Mavlink program on the Arduino with both the D4R-II and the X8R (different wiring) - this was feeding directly into the internal XJT. Should work ok with ULRS Mini. Do you need some help mate?

I'll try document it for everyone here.

Yes, documenting will work just fine.
Mike's script doesn't need any modification now, since ULRS was downgraded to 57600?

I don't think it needs modification, I'll let you know...
