Hi Body, is it the same model as in post 601? What's you power to weight ratio with that 24x10 prop? The flight time sounds wonderful, I almost got that Xpwr motor but the last minute went for Eflite. How is that XP going?

Oops! Sorry, I forgot to edit the model before posting. The 95" Extra 330SC-E is a new electric-only airframe that just came out this year. The airframe is much lighter than the 87" Extra 300. You can see more pics of my setup and the schematic here.

Thrust to weight is about 1.8:1. Power to weight is about 252 watts/pound. Both my 87" and 95" now use the Motrolfly DM 5335. Not as much power, but it is very efficient and almost 7 oz. lighter.

At 16.5 kilo thrust you are laughing all the way, that's impressive for e-power. Do you think it can sustain it for a while with out overheating?

Successful power system in my latest "Bi" design, it works even in the light rain!

Took some advantage of the calm weather brake before lunch with few flights. Running 23x8 prop, the motor and ESC doesn't even warm up after the flight.

Dont confuse me with the facts
What kind of timing and PWM setting do you have? Or, is typically used on larger outrunners? I have a 40% Sbach 15000-20000 Watt I am trying to program.

Another brilliant power set up in my scratch built "JF-BI", running on Eflite32, off 4S, so far tested at least half a doz. various props , today flying on 15x4 carbon fiber, so far the best combo.

What's a good replacement for this little C-10 Motor


I have this 23 inch wide Delta Wing called a DW Rainbow I got for use as a trainer

which flies Ok on its normal setup but is very under powered, and the C-10 motors run hot and I've had two of them fail so far.

The Wing's AUW is 165g when running with a 450mah 3 Cell that's 40g . it has a 10 amp ESC and I'm looking for a replacement motor with higher KV that can run faster and cooler with a small prop ( like a 5030) that will fit in this wing.. but more reliably than this C-10 does and that has a similar mounting which screws in to a firewall from the motor / front side of the thin plywood base ( cause I can't access the rear side. I've looked at the e-Flight Park 180 but its a little too small.. and the Park 250 might be perfect but will not work with 3 Cell lipos..only 2 cell

Any suggestions for something similar that can be front-side firewall mounted on a very light wing like this and run in 3cel 450 mah batteries under say 12 amps max?

Any thoughts?

I'm thinking of rebuilding a Marston Pterodactyl from a twin brushless prop power to one Ducted fan. I was wondering what size fan I need. The bird would weigh about 25 ounces.
