Has anyone thought about doing this as a monthly thing all year long? I think it would be fun. I really miss the Winter Postal competition since I don't have people close to me to fly with. The closest DLG pilot is about 2 hours away from me.

I missed the last few of these after crashing my 2 DLGs last November. I finally got one fixed about a month ago and the second one was fixed 2 days ago.

It was a 6 month thing for me . 5.9 months being scared to attempt the boom repairs and about 3 hours work for each boom once I got the guts to do it.

Nice to read that people miss the WP.

The reason the Winterpostal is in the winter is that we do not have any competitions then.

I hope many pilots will compete in a couple of months. We may even have prices for the winners this season!

Thanks for doing the Winterpostal japp27! It was fun and got me doing actual task type stuff when I was out having fun by myself.

I kind of like that there are no prizes. It is just meant for fun.

Thanks for doing this again!

Increasing time starting with 30 seconds with 15 second increments. Working time is 30 minutes. Only the last flight counts.

Explanation:
Start with a flight of 30 seconds or more then try a 45 seconds flight and then a 60... The last flight ends when the working time stops.

Example:
Flight 1: 33 seconds
Flight 2: 46 seconds
Flight 3: 66 seconds
Flight 4: 70 seconds
Flight 5: 78 seconds
Flight 6: 95 seconds
Flight 7: 120 seconds
Flight 8: 110 seconds
Flight 9: 90 seconds

The total for this task = 105
For the first task starting in November it mentions that only the last flight counts. It is really the last achieved time correct? 105 is not the last flight. 90 is the last flight which was an unsuccessful 120 attempt.

Awesome! i can take part this year!

Just to be clear, can i enter more than one score in the month?, if i were to post a score on the 2nd November but then bettered it on the 10th, can i enter that score again to replace the 2nd November one?

Suppose i'd best dig a model out and see if i can still throw, too much flying powered foamies and funny models through a pair of goggles

Guess it's a good reason to finally put the Snipe together that's been sat in the corner of the room way too long. The Whipit is coming out to play too.

Happy winter!

Only 2 weeks to go. I will setup the site and start thinking about the first task. Input on that is welcome.
