no motors and ESC? my guess... is that it allows you to fly thermal like a un powered glider...

my 2 cents worth maybe less

Any Bungie I have ever used would tear the wings off the thing! Maybe if you strung a bunch of the GWS rubberbands together it would survive OK!

How can there be a slope version of the SS? My old SS glided like a rock...Still a great plane with the motor running, but when you throttled back it came down fast, but I don't see how you could slope that thing.

The real reason for the slope version is if you plan on installing a brushless you can buy the slope version without paying for a brush motor you neither need nor want! I think calling them a slope version is just to spell out the differences.

Definitely something different between your SS and mine, because mine "floats" very well with the motor off.

Anything with a wing loading of 5-6 oz. ought to glide easily.

What does your SS weigh? How much down trim are you flying with?

Not being confrontational, just curious as to your description of "like a rock." I've not seen a stock SS fly like that.

I think that the Slope versions also are without landing gear!

That's OK as I hate the GWS LG anyway and always upgrade it!

How many $$ do you save on the SS sloper kit? I don't use the stock motor anymore and I also use stouter LG, so the money saved could be applied to upgrdes.

Just went to Horizon Hobby and I couldn't find an SS sloper... they do list other models though.

Allerc stocks most of the Slope kits! Horizon has been down graded to Dealer Status it appears so the bull about "I'm not stocking it" or " I need to test it for 6 months before we import" crap should be over!

I like the stock slow stick gear!!! I have never seen a slope version of the Slow Stick when I've been looking. I'm not sure what a fair price would be?? maybe $25??? but for the extra $10 I wouldn't mind having the motor and landing gear to toss onto my shelf. I would think that the material and packing for the slow stick couldn't be sold for any less then $25
