No offense, but while books like these are certainly nice to look at and interesting, the stuff you need for the task of model research is more "professional grade" publications like these:

I rather enjoy this book and I think it has some info not found anywhere else considering the illustrator was a serviceman and most of the images are firsthand accounts. Most of this generation are not alive anymore. I like to consider the source of most of my information...not saying your source is bad or in-accurate.

Bill Gunston flew with the RAF from '43 to '48 and devoted his life to aviation journalism. I'll trust that credibility .

Its a pity that this professional documentation only has 2D profiles,
