Sucks!!! I had something similar happen 2 years ago.

Bout the only thing you can do is watch Craigslist and even then its a long shot. I believe with my case the plane was in toothpicks 5 minuets after they stole my truck.

Where are you at?

Raytown MO. Worst part is the 500 was not mine. I did the battery tray mod for a club member. Now it seem he is going to get stingy about it and wants money for it even after I offered him my 500pro that is 100 times better than his worn out old 500e. He also don't understand that I have a 500 deductible.

To throw more gas on the fire is that all my other helicopters are programmed into the 7c.

If the car was locked you might want to make a claim with AMA, which will cover anything your car insurance doesn't.

maan, that is pretty sucky...this is why i was always weary about these truck bed boxes, but getting into the cabin, wow, that's pretty bad.

the drill i would say is not a big deal, but the helis are pretty expensive. maybe the guy will be nice enough and then decide to return them back to you. (we had that happen...very rarely in ukraine)

guy stole my uncle's hat, and then the guy brought it back and put it back where it was. my uncle was praying though.

Thing I ran into with the AMA was they require a police report. Here in San Diego they don't do police reports on car theft as its not a Violent Crime.

It sucks when stuff like this happens. Check with any local hobby shops/ Craiglist/ peeny saver if in your area/ Might even try pawn shops as druggies will try anything/ plus local p/d..joke. 500 sized heli would be harder to unload. Hope it works out. Was your truck pickup ? and birds in bed op truck ?

I think your rights are being violated with that policy. The police department is required to keep records of crimes, even if they refuse to solve them.

I got my police report. They also took finger prints. My truck is a crew cab and everything was in the back seat. Yea the 130 will look like a toy so it will be easy to unload.

That sucks, its not only the monetary value its the time spent in getting everything just right and the loss of all your model info held in memory is a bitch.

I quarantee you our rights are being violated on a daily basis here in California. I'm just glad I'm not one of the 51 Hit and Run accident EVERY DAY in Los Angeles.

Yeah there's a lot of those around here lately too. People are getting less responsible it seems (and it seems passing laws isn't forcing them to be either). I sold one of my helicopters to a friend and his whole house was robbed after that, and they basically just took the RC stuff and the TV. That guy isn't in the hobby any more as far as I know. It really bothers me that someone can just come along and do that to your life.

You Ain't lying... That is also very rampant here in las vegas... My wife has now been Hit twice in a 5 year span and both times the guys just took off leaving "us" with the $500 deductible. . . ( whats even more annoying is that it keeps happening to our Nice 06 mustang )

I'm not an A.M.A member. But anybody correct me if I'm wrong here. Because Mhills is an A.M.A Member. He does have a police report and his truck doors were locked..Is this not when the A.m.A steps up to the plate and covers his loss ??
