Always wanted to add a sailboat to my fleet. I have no idea if I'd really love it, or get bored. May have to just try and see.

Careful of the advertisements ......... No such thing as an IOM Sport Class. Just an FYI.

I don't see where they implied that there was a "sport class". I see they imply that is a sport level boat.

"Made for competition" and "this sailboat is prepared for competition" suggest that it conforms to a racing class. The AMYA has a fair number of classes, but no Raggazza class as far as I know and it doesn't look like an IOM, US1M or ODOM.

"Made for competition" and "this sailboat is prepared for competition" is nothing but marketing smoke & mirrors which is polite talk for what others call BS.

Common sense.....

Sport racer would be someone (or some boat) who (that) is not anal retentive to the over-ruled classes and just wants to "race" with friends...lets face it...two boats of any kind on the water=race.

Hull might pass the IOM Rules but the rig doesn't, unless a lot of money is spent changing it.
Haven't we already gone over this boat before?

I don't think there's much chance of the moderators slapping his wrists; he's a moderator

You took the words right out of my mouth Allan. For a "ready to sail", it actually doesn't look too bad, but when I see that, It tells me that "Proboat" have very little practical knowledge of RC sailboats.

OK - so I used a wrong word - but ............... anybody out there that can define what a "Sport Racer" is exactly? Face it - too much hype in advertisement trying to get a new sailor to shell out his $$$$$$$ for something that a buyer would "hope" to be able to race ---- "IF" he has a neighbor to sail against.

Drop the reference to an International One Meter (IOM) since it, as presented, doesn't fit into the IOM Class - and call it what it really is ---- a one meter sailboat. That would be removing the "lipstick from a pig".
