iRate lipoly Inventory Updates

I have updated our current inventory for Lipoly's on our website. Many of you have been asking for more product and the good news if we have some more.

Also, New Hi-Ouput 830 cells is also on its way with our next shipments. We will be offering it for preorder on our website shortly. Loose cells or packs. Your choice. The 830 is a thicker cell which gives it a lower IR value (per the manufacturer). Still from the same manufacture just a new size and shape.
5.5 x 34 x 50mm is its size. We are seeing about a 8-10% voltage improvement on the new thicker cells.

www.cheapbatterypacks.com to order or to see qty status.

Thanks,

Mike

I don't see the 830's. Are they the same as the 850's?

OOps never mind - I didn't read it closely enough.

Any idea of about how long?

Mike,

Everyone seems to be talking about new improved cells comming out this spring. Any other new stuff in the works from your end?

Narrower 2200 cells would be nice

Also - on these 830's - does this meam they will be capable of running at a higher C level than the 850's?

the 830's are thicker then the 850's The engineer told me that the thicker cells have lower IR and that is why higher voltage under load.

I have always tried to be conservative with my ratings. 8C,10C,15C are all possible with this cell as they are with the 850. The difference is that watts will be up under those same loads. By about 8-10%. I will post some comparitive graphs.

the 1800-2600 cells may now be done in a 50mm width instead of the 56mm width. This should help some. I am working to get it down to 42-46mm...

I have read a lot of new threads lately of "new" cells coming etc. We will have to see. As for my products they will continue to offer outstanding performance at a great price. And we will continue to offer loose cells, solder, flux to those that want to build their own cells. For those that want premade packs we can do that to. We can weld lipo cells together and create 2p-10p or 2s-10S whith out any problem.

Thanks,

Mike

I have a question

Does cheapbatterypacks make packs that are center tapped? I won't purchase a built pack without this feature. The center tap wires can be of a lighter gauge wire (#20 awg would be fine), but the taps are what I would consider as neccessary for cell balancing.

The problem right now is that doing center taps adds solder to the tabs in the middle of the pack. Since we weld instead of solder it would mean now we must also solder to each tab. this would definately increase costs for us. But for those that don't mind paying for the work done I have not problem offering it.

I have tested the new 830's and I compared them head to head with the 850 Irate.
They give constantly higer amps and voltage (around 0.1V per cell), with an avg 9% more watts during a full discharge.
The test was done at 13C...
