Thread OP
My friend/partner and I have an agreement that we will complete 10 "slices" a week (of the 86 total). We have other things we are working on, so not much more time than that. However, I already have 38 slices done, and I think he is quite close, so within a week or two we will have all 86 slices done. At that point, we will lay them out (excellent photo will come...) and decide (1) if we need to change something in one of them, and (2) what will be the way to connect them all together, as there is no single line that will go throughout the entire set. Once we agree, we will make one long plug out of it, and then I will start sanding it and finishing it. So, slow but steady progress. We knew it will be a long project... Thanks for asking! And, by the way, we do want to build tooling that will allow us to sell units to others who are interested...

Progress. We were both very busy with many things. I took over the project solely. I got all the slices. Gave them final touches. Here they are: 86 of them. Slice 47 was the widest one, so I have this one twice, and then all the others are the largest of the two slices they represent. This way I erred on the side of too much material, and not too little... I still need to make some markings on them for alignment, and then start hooking them together along inflexible tubes...

I will build it in one of these two paint schemes (or both, I'm building a mold, after all!)... Israel just unveiled the first one to ship! http://www.janes.com/article/35799/a...avi-for-israel

Not much. Buried under other projects and a school board campaign... Not to mention day job. I have the "pile" of "slices" and I bought the materials to put them together. Possibly during winter break...

Found your log researching for a 70mm foamy build, useful dxf and wireframe, thank you for putting them out there. Did you complete the build? Any pics?

Hi, sorry to bring this thread up again.
I wish to ask if anybody knows the actual wing airfoil used in this aircraft or the YAK 130 ( I believe these planes were quite similar but not in total)
Any help will be appreciated. Thanks
