Build Log

Lockey's Concorde

YES, I know its been done before ... but this is my version

Its a pusher and I would like it to be a "slide on grass" ... we will see !!

Wing span is 650 mm and its 1440 mm long

I started cutting out today and it is a very fast build ... I have incorporated a drop nose (just for fun) but you don't have to do it as a drop nose if you don't want

I will post the plans when I am happy that I have made the necessary changes and mods, I have found a few as I have been building

Here it is so far

Sure would be nice if that drop nose was on a 2 position servo
Looks great Lockey

I use a Spekrtum DX7, nothing to stop me using the flaps switch if I want it to be 2 position drop

This is my first design with a fixed nose, would be a lot easier build ... the rest of the build would be the same

I have decided to make the fuselage totally separate to the wing and add at the end (not on this build) … only because of the physical size (length) of the fuselage makes it a little more difficult to work on with the wing attached … It would just mean one more piece of Depron around 950mm x 70 mm (a strip less than 3 inches wide)

I have done a little more to the build today but have decided to do the first one with a fixed nose (will build another with the new plans and use the drop nose on it)

I put a 2mm former in the centre of the nose cone otherwise you can not get a sharp point, it was so pointy, I stabed myseld whilst rubbing down and made myself bleed

subscribed, very nice indeed. Hope your Concord has LG. Maybe an EDF in the future? A friend of mind gave me detailed plans for a 5 feet long XB-70 designed for a .60 IC engine. Similar to the Concord pusher.
