EDF 64 - 70mm KFm4 Foam jets

Visit my thread here.

There's a lot of fun to be had at little fuss or expense. You can buy these EDF units, assembled ready, for £15 to £20. This one at 70mm claims to produce 1350gms of thrust at 450watts.

I've used the smallest one, 220watts in a Messerschmitt 163 Komet effort.

Here's a video:

and here's how it started:

Now I'm starting on a Vampire version of the same idea.

If you've got a similar idea, ie just foam, something stiff for a spar, something simple for airfoils and wing panels, please post your pictures and videos here.

I'm imagining things like: A Saab Gripen, a Hawker Hunter, a BD-5, a Vulcan.

All ideas will be welcome!

Sounds like some interesting ideas and projects. I have yet to do any EDF projects and I really like simple. Subscribed.

Maiden flight was not good. The CoG calculator said 80mm from the leading edge, after repairing the plane and moving to 65mm, it works fine. today is the first day of learning to fly this little beauty. This is going to be fun!
