I also have one. It's plenty of fun to throw around, the light wing loading means you can pretty much stop it on a dime. The only real weaknesses I've found is the foam is very thin:
a) in the hand grips, you can actually see through it in the corners
b) Where the motor mount and the plastic bit on the bottom of the tail attach, this means the motor mount will break out if you land hard on the tail.
Also, the ailerons aren't well attached. I'm going to have to do something with mine as they've both come off and tape isn't good enough for the tiny throws this thing needs.

I just ordered one of these from Motion RC. I got the tamer version . I have bought several items from Motion RC and have been very pleased with them. Its too bad about the hinges giving in, have you come up with a solution yet? I have the funfly Rare Bear from Hobbyking and it is a very small and fast plane (insane on 4 cells). Has anyone flown both of these and how do they compare?

well i've tried in vain to get mine to fly. seems like it is extremely nose heavy with a 2200 3s...even the cg seemed dead on. even with a 1300 3s it would just not take off. wide open throttle...throwing as hard as i can

big ol fat nose dive every time

Maybe silly question but you sure the prop is installed correctly? Check orientation

I've found a 3S 2200 flies nicely when positioned as far towards the back as it will go. That should give a CG close to the measurement given in the manual. I've even flown a 4S 2200 but it didn't really fit too well and I didn't feel it was that much faster. I usually takeoff with about 2/3 throttle and a good throw, any more throttle and the torque is too much and it rolls over and dives into the ground.

Yeah, they're probably fine until you have a rough landing and then they're done as they're just a bit of tape basically. I'm going to use some CA hinges to replace them: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...0mmx0_3mm.html
