That's impressive RC Guys! I can't wait for mine to arrive in a week or so!

Stinger System Upgrades!

I couldn't wait so, I've already assembled my upgrades for the 90mm Stinger: new 7 channel Spectrum receiver, 150 amp HobbyWing ESC, and 1750kv Freewing motor! ...once I've logged a couple of months flying her, and I feel comfortable with her flight characteristic, then I'll throw these parts in. ok I see my setup is not an improvement. I'll lose thrust. ...so I'll probably sale this motor.

More Flights

Hi
Logged 2 more flights today. Wind was 10-20 mph across the runway (sideways). Still no issues. It simply weather-vanned a little bit toward the wind and then a nice, Rapid climb out and lots of fun. Downwind passes were over 152 mph (gps) out of a fairly steep dive with a 15 mph tailwind.....the tailwind helped! Flying this jet is the most fun I've had with any df !

Hey R-C-guy we need video please. Just can't get enough of this plane flying, plus there is not a whole lot a video yet.
Thanks.

what are the dimensions of the battery compartment? It looks really small and not a lot of space to adjust CG....

I put the receiver as far forward as possible, I use a 6 cell 5000 nanotech pack. Pack can move .5 inch back and .75 in forward.

Mooiman,

That B3553 1750 KV motor you got is the old outrunner that the old 90mm jets like the Eurofighter and F-18 used. I don't think you're going to be able to use it with the new 12-blade fan. I got the "hopped up" 6S fan unit from RC-Castle a few weeks ago, and it comes with a 4074 1700kv inrunner.

I'd be shocked if that 1750 outrunner fit, and if it did I'm pretty sure it would smoke on the first run with a 12-blade fan... The original 1750 stock fan was a 5- or 6- blade that pulled about 70A, if memory serves. I actually never used it - I put a CS12 in one, and an RC Lander 12-blade in another.

RC-Castle has the 4074-1700kv motor for sale on its own, but it's expensive. The whole assembled fan unit, balanced, is only <$60 more than the motor.

Thanks for the insightful information SJW! I will look into your recommendation. I'm hoping the 90mm Stinger releases this week!

90mm Stinger release date?

Good people of Motion RC, hope all's well! Does the 7th still look like a good release date or could that be pushed back?

Thanks

Drew
