Yes, JETI UDI is just JR's XBUS Mode B.

Yes I found it. It looks pretty good. Comparing the pulse width (in μsec) at the transmitter and or the receiver servo port to the x10 output port:

xmtr ________x10
1248________1243
1541________1542
1996________2008

I suspect much of the shift might be in the Jeti conversion to UDI. The x10 looked much better on a Futaba S.Bus system. It did not look as good on the Jeti S.Bus. The Jeti system can easily handle these shifts with sub trim, endpoints and servo balancing but the message is that there is a shift and you will need to retrim if you change things.

All of the serial streams are 100% accurate on the X10+ servo outputs. I would say that the transmitter display is not what is being output.

I would say the conversion of the Jeti digital data stream to the S.bus data stream is not 100% accurate.

There is no conversion from JETI to SBUS.

That's interesting. I've been flying my Jeti system with an S.Bus output to various stabilization systems for some time. The x10 responds to it too when set to S.bus. Maybe we should tell Jeti.

Perhaps I should be more clear. There is no Rx to JETI to SBUS conversion being done. There is either Rx to JETI UDI or Rx to SBUS conversion. If JETI signed the NDA and got the info from Futaba, then there is no reason why their output would not be 100% accurate. It's a digital stream. 1500us should be 1500us.

Help!

My apologies if this has been covered before. I had not been following this thread and don't have time to go read 1500 posts. This is my first time setting up and using the X10.

Specs:
JR XP9303 with XPS module
X10+ (purchased new last March)
Nano II-E RX
12" serial cable

I've got my Nano hooked to the X10, and I'm sure the polarity is correct on all connections. Serial cable plugged into Ch 1 on the Nano. BEC lead plugged into Port 11 on the X10, then servos plugged into channels 1 through 7.

Nano is confirmed bound to the TX, and everything works fine without the X10 in place. However, I can't seem to get the X10+ to initialize. First I plug in the lipo to the system, then I turn on my TX. All I get is the flashing red light on the X10.

Am I missing a step somewhere, or do I have something connected incorrectly?

TIA for any help.

Pat

sounds like when you did the binding process of your nano to your TX, you did not change the setting on the nano that you are using the channel expander. check out the videos Jim did here. really easy to do.

OK, that looks like where I went wrong, I need to set my Nano to Xtreme mode. I will try that out tomorrow.

Thanks!

I have a noob X10+ user question so please be gentle! Is it possible to damage the unit if it is powered up with nothing connected to it? I mean no rx or servos?
