Here are my two favorite Champs, with scratch-built wings and tails made of 2 MM depron. The fuselages came from wholesaletrains.com, complete with brick and motor, but no landing gear.

But it flies sooo nice! Had to laugh because I am just finishing my Junior & Champ JTF with 4 different wings. Did you see my Aeronca Champ NC? Seems great minds think alike, ha ha.

Yep, sure did. They sure are a cute little airplane. In 1949 I took my flight training in an Aeronca Champ to start a 60+ year love affair with flying and airplanes in general. The little Champ came today but it's blowing way too hard to get it out for a test flight. The 2 meter glider in the picture flew this morning before the wind got up.

No ailerons, just outlines with a marker.
Short cuts silver and Design master ivory floral paint.
Landing gear made from .030 wire to accommodate the larger tires, the original gear was .026 and the axel length was to short.
Still need to add letters/numbers when I find some that don't weigh a ton.
