Ken Willards Drake converted from FF to 3 function. PAW06 and home spun tank - bit crude but it works.

Trishette from Radio Modeller free plan. PAW 1.49cc (.10) again three function. Can't wait to fly it at night!!

if you wana get technical about it .15 as mentioned in the main title of this forum area isn't 1/2a

electric is not 1/2a since that is a displacement class and electric motors do not have displacement. I can't find the list but I believe the maximum true 1/2a is either .051 or .049 over that becomes a class. I wish I could find the list

.05 is max for 1/2A. Cox made the .051 so that a person could compete in both 1/2A and A events with the same plane by swapping an .049 for an .051.

The .15 engines might not meet the requirements of the 1/2A competition classes but they are generally accepted as close enough for discussion on these forums. With that said, here's my latest submission. A Great Planes Electrifly Fokker DVII that's been converted and built for use with an OS .10LA glow engine. Started this project last December and have worked on it on and off since then. The scarves on the struts were inspired by the airshows during my recent visit to the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome.

Flight update: The engine quit on the 2nd test flight during a low altitude turnaround. She hit a bit hard busting up the landing gear and fuse bottom. Replacement parts have been on backorder since Oct. 09 and Tower keeps delaying their ETA. I've moved on to other projects but plan to resume repairs on the DVII as soon as the new parts arrive. This plane looks too neat in the air to give up on it so soon.

Ooooo, very pretty...and quite glossy! It would definitely be a treat to see it in flight. I wish you the best of luck on maiden.

Brigidier 1/2A Texaco - I scratch built from MAN Jim Reynolds plans back in '85, 45" span, Monokote covered, Futaba tx and rx (ch.54), Cox Golden Bee and a 7x4 prop. Screamed nearly OOS like a rocket and then soared back home like an eagle. Recently converted to electric.
