Zip

Howdy gents. I'm glad you like them. I built the frist one and took it to the school yard to fly it and the guys there all wanted one so I set up some jig and am building seven of them. I may build a couple more for myshelf. We will have our own pylon races this summer. The speed Zip with an old os .10 and a 8-4 prop was doing at least 85mpg. It was out running a .40 size ultra sport. I made a longer wing and a larger canopy for the sport Zip. I put both on the plans. heres a pic of the jigs.

1/2 scale Me 109

House of balsa kit OS .10 If that Mustang fetches $750. wonder what this one would fetch??
I am into scale building and my next Me-109 will put this one to shame for looks though I don't think it will be considered a 1/2 A anymore because I had plan to upgrade the power house to a .25 Some were I have some photos of a guillows P-40 I will post..I have big planes just as soon as I accumulate a few more Cox engines this year Think I am going to try and throttle one of them. Must have stalk on hand so looks like I will be spending some time on eBay..My plans for the year is after I get the shop up and going again is to build the House of Balsa FW-190 and the Me-109G there is more but I think this will be pushing it a bit as is..

[QUOTE=Rascal_Tom]my father-in-law bought the Sig Lil' Rascal kit for me. even got the asp .061 to go with it. WHAT A BUILD! very challenging. this is my second kit to build, and i've really enjoyed it. i guess it took me about 4 months to complete. lots going on, primarily my wife's MORNING SICKNESS! i guess i've created 2 lil' rascals in the past few months! HA! i highly recommend this kit. its really fun to build. i'm looking forward to the maiden this weeked.

the foam CO2 plane is the 27" Russian Jr. Foam ARF w/Co2 Motor Set Complete from carlsonengineimports.net. the fuselage was in two halves, and the vertical stab was seperate. i glued all that together with some UHU imitation. the wing is one piece and rubberbands on, as does he horizontal stab. i'm really pleased with how well it flies. the motor is plastic, but its my first, and i really like it. Ed Carlson is a great guy! Really helpful.[/QUOTE
I though about trying this C02 thing but I found out quickly that no one is making them any more.

Here's my scratch built 33" span model with a PAW 0.03 diesel and 3 channel RC. The covering is Japanese tissue and the model is finished with Sig dope. It weighs 12 ounces and has heavily cambered airfoil. Flies like a dream, quiet, maneuverable, and the engine throttles very well.

Very nice. Looks like it's a cross between a modern plane and an old timer. Well executed.

It does! Also, very neat wing design. I don't know if it's just me, but the way that the wing is in the fuse is different from most cases. It appears to be the belly of a low-wing. Very interesting!
