the black sheep squadron sell one for serious CO2. the paintball one is probably the best value at $50. and i think you can get those tanks refilled for less than buying a new one.

black sheep squadron

anybody got one of these?

i just buy the 8 gram ones. you can find them at brew stores and lots of places online.

i really like that comet. how does the twin sure start fly? is it hard to get equal run times? did you build it from plans?

very nice collection. and equally amazed that they run from sure starts, not that its a bad 1/2A or anything, its just not as common as some.

I'm glad that you like the comet, i like her too.
She is my first scratchbuild and second plane at all(first was 10 years ago guillow's stearman).
When i finished her(instaled engines servos, harneses, lights..) i had no heart to fly her, also i had never flew plane before!
So I made dozens of other (cox) planes to learn flying.

I made comet from scaled down plans (free plans from internet).

how does the cessna fly with flaps? does it slow down a lot?

Cessna rtf weights 350gr (12.3oz) and has 14 sqdm (~220sq inches)
So with engine off glides as sailplane.
I use flaps to make rapid descent with noose pointed a bit down, with very gentle relese of elevator before touch down.
In powered flight with flaps you se plane in horizontal flight being pulled upwards (like kids hellium balloon)!
Advantage having sure start is that you have proportional flaps.
Real advantage of flaps on this plane is fun factor!

There is no dramatical change in speed, but lift shows significant change.

Classic Cox RTF 020 Li'l Stinker

I got this on eBay. Plan to give it to my Niece, if I can fly it once successfully to be sure it is ok. First time I had problems with the lines getting stuck in the grass. Telling her to keep the engine when it breaks, for a balsa kit.
