Price drop.

Promotion of the upgraded version at Banggood - US$ 21.28:

I ordered this:

http://www.banggood.com/Wholesale-Gr...t-p-53023.html

It seems to have proportional steering. Although the price is higher, I'll give it a try!

2209 Battery

A user (hermit) on Banggood posted this picture of the Great Wall 2209 battery:

Found this: http://www.adafruit.com/products/1570

But it's NOT the right size!

Thanks Raposo,

I have ordered the 2209 yesterday from BG.
I think it will take about 4 weeks untill i get it.

So i will see the battery and the plug which i need.
I think the great Wall is the better car. Batteries are changeable and the playing time is better.
Maybe the WL Toys is faster but that doesnt count. More playing time is better for the kids i think.

I received the great wall 2209 yesterday. the transmitter has a whacky contact. A little bit disapointing too is that the 2209 reduces speed in turns. It seems to be programmed in the receiver. Playing time is great for such a little car. A lot more than 15mins.

I will try the l939 with steering and throttle full proportional.

Can somebody recommand another car of this size and price?

Whats about this one?
http://www.banggood.com/WLtoys-2308-...-p-911069.html

And this one?
http://www.banggood.com/Wholesale-Gr...r-p-44308.html

By the way, the battery plug of the Great Wall 2209 is a pico plug. I can charge it with my IMAXB6 and a charging board. But unfortunately i cant find those batterys anywhere and Great Wall doesnt answers to my e-mails.

Great Wall 2209

I received mine today!

SilbernerSurfer, it's a shame that you are disappointed with the 2209.

Curiously, my impression about him was very positive. The car has a beautiful design. The control looks to me very responsive and the steering very precise. No trim adjustments was needed and the car keeps a straight line when moving forward and backward.

The few cons in my opinion are the battery conector which seems too fragile and the initial speed which is too fast even using the "slow" mode. My room is small and high speeds make it difficult to control. Also there is some lack of grip of the front wheels when you turn left or right due to the wooden floor.

Besides that, I think the 2209 is very good and I very happy with his performance.

The lack of spare batteries is also a problem!

I hope to post some video soon.

Yes it is a good car. But what do you think about lowering the speed at turns.

Decreased speed.

I had not noticed this behaviour driving in my room because there is no space to keep the throttle at maximum, specially when steering. But into a large room I could see what you mean.

I think is a collateral effect when the steering is activated. So the battery can not supply enough charge/current at the same time for both motor and steering device. Just a guess.

In fact the drop in speed should not happen but I found acceptable.

I made this video:
Great Wall 2209 Mini RC Car (3 min 6 sec)

The speed drop is not so evident in the video due to the small size of the room.

Banggood

Mr. Slender Man, I believe the problem with the delays in deliveries are not associated directly with Banggood. In my case the local customs are responsible for the long wait.

DX, ChinaBuye, TMart, they all took me several weeks to receive my packages!

So here is another video:

Great Wall 2209 Mini RC Car - Closer Look (1 min 38 sec)

I tried to show some more details of the 2209 in a closer footage and showing the remote control in action. I really liked this car!
