There was some talk in another thread about this but I figured it deserved its own thread. This is an upgraded Wltoys 2019 with 2.4ghz transmitter and proportional steering! for $28 shipped!

On special right now for $20.41 with coupon code A6

Does anybody on here own one of these? I will probably be receiving mine in about 2 weeks.

It seems to only be available in 2 places right now at a reasonable price.

Might have to get one of these.

It's a shame that the throttle doesn't appear to be proportional also.

From the video it seems you can select 1 of 5 speeds, but the trigger itself is not proportional.

Would you be able to take yours apart when you receive it? I am interested to know what they are using for the proportional steering. Looks too small of a space for a servo to sit there, based on the old version which I have anyway.

I am not completely sure because I do not have my car yet but I am 99% sure the throttle is proportional. The 5 speeds can be turned on or off. I think it's main use would be limiting the speed so a kid could easily control it. Even in one of the 5 selected modes you still have proportional throttle.

Seems to handle pretty well, and I also think the 5 speed only refers to a dual rate setting for the throttle. So you can easily select between 2 top speeds.

According to the discussion section on the banggood page it appears some people are receiving non proportional steering models.

That is an incredibly lame move by WLToys. I would not have ordered this if I had know. I apologize if anyone bought one because of my post and ends up with a non proportional version.

They look like they run pretty darn well, especially considering the price.

Proportional Steering

Anyone else received the non proportional steering version?

Yeah, I had one and it was fun till my daughter stepped on it. I did not replace it because of the lack of proportional steering and throttle. If this has both I'm in, but they gotta resolve the issue first of the cars coming defective.

No good.

Thanks for your reply shahram.

I'm also out! It is very strange that lack of standardization. Probably some problem with costs or lack of parts to manufacture it, who knows. Anyway, it is a negative point for WLtoys.

If you want proportional steering and throttle, look at WL Toys L939

Around $28 at Banggood http://www.banggood.com/Wltoys-L939-...r-p-81755.html

I found a video posted just 2 days ago.

Pretty nice, and I like the truck body. Looks like a nice model for a kid, being able to limit top speed. Amazing the little cheap ones like this are way better than anything with no proportional control from Walmart.

XFM, Banggood offer a price protection feature. You can ask for a refund if the price has dropped within 72 hours after you have bought it.

I hope WLtoys do not do the same as they did with the L929, removing the proportional direction for no reason.

I think the L929 model a bit nicer, but this is still a good alternative.

Just ordered one for testing. Might be my new rental cars if they can be slowed down enough for the 5 and 6 years old kids. At $21 a pop they can beat them to death and I can just keep replacements on hand.
