Stitching 'em back together!

Man, the bush style wheels look great on this plane! I always like the new planes as they get announced but this one is really calling my name. I may hold out till next spring to buy it though. I'm already blowing any extra money I have on the DX9 and UM Icon.

The colors and size are drawing me in like a fly to a light.

The looks of this plane are beautiful, the blue, the tires...sweet!!! I have to also say, this plane is very impressive from a size - price standpoint. The power is ridiculous and made me giggle when I saw it hover.....so awesome. LOL

I was hoping for a larger version of the UMX Carbon Cub SS. I really like this plane. Even the color is great. It's just too big. If it had a 50"-60" wingspan, I would preorder it today.

Will a typical 6s 5000mAh pack fit?

I know alot of people with those packs including myself!

Length is 55.8" and wings come off so why not have a larger plane?!?!?!?

Yes! A wide variety of packs are suitable, from 2900-5000mAh. We used a 5000 pack on the first flight and flew for 16 1/2 minutes, and we could have gone longer. Quique was using a 5000 pack in the videos with the floats attached.

Thanks for the answer! Looks like I'll get one now

New to the 5000 6S batteries, should you use 25C, 30C, or 40C with this plane?

on edit: I see in the manual the battery they are suggesting is the 3200 6S 30C.

CC has a 60a esc so a 5000mah 20C would be 5x20=100a pull, so in theory a 20C would be enough

Carbon Z Cub

Dave,

Great to see EFlite has designed a larger scale version of Carbon SS Cub. The strong Carbon Z version is good and has all the scale looks of the full scale.

The larger version has bush tires and flaps to help with takeoffs and landing at shorter field and rough grass club fields. This is a lot better than the smaller version for use on rough club grass fields.

Great to see a variey of lipos can be used to fly the airplane.

Here is a photo of the full scale version:

I see in the manual they also talk about using to 3s packs in series. Is there any down side to doing this? I've never ran two batteries at once before. Currently, I don't have any 6s batteries, but have I do have 3s packs.

I love it!

Dave, thanks for the honesty. I've found estimated delivery dates on new releases some what optimistic, Dave's would be more what I would have expected.

I couldn't watch the video at work, so I didn't realize the wings were two pieces instead of one. If they attached to the fuselage as one piece (one 7' long wing), the plane wouldn't fit in my truck. Since they do separate, I definitely want this plane!
