Yes, ideally you would have at least on spare 3 way switch and a slider or proportional knob for master gain control. Master Gain control is nice but not necessary. Even a couple of spare 2 way switches will permit mapping so you can have all three modes. A 7 channel receiver is what you want so you can include all Guardian features plus flaps. 1-5 is normal plane function and 6 is mode and 7 is master gain.

This is something I never expected. I'm really having trouble figuring out the radio settings. I look for a 1 servo wing setting and I can't find it. Is the manual wrong or what?
Sure if you have a setup for the CZC, I'd love to down load it. Hmmm....no wonder I like helis...I didn't have this kind of trouble with the F27Q Stryker. I know I'm old but geezzzzz! |

As I recall from the CZC manual the mix is called out at 42%. Why I remember that I have no idea, but you can look it up. It's in the manual. I think the precision is what stuck in my mind. Assume Horizon is using a Spektrum radio.

I fly at 114th at least once per year, usually for the Santa Cops toy drive. If you are free Saturday, come on out to our Electric fly in, TEX, the Texas Electric eXpo. Lots of fun to be had and if you bring your CZCC, there will be at least two of them there... https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show....php?t=1981714 Open to all electric aircraft and pilots, so come on out, even if you do not have a CZCC yet... |

Hey, Horizon guys. No floats showed up this week with any of the Cubs, to the best of my knowledge. I know it was mentioned that they were in last week as well
When should we expect the floats? Sure hope by next week, as I am dying to get mine wet at our float fly on Nov 9. Expedite the back ordered floats to Roy's Hobby Shop in Hurst, Tx for arrival a week from today and I promise lots of photo and some video coverage of the CZCC on the water!... |

Picked up my BNF basic today.
Floats are expected to arrive tomorrow. Everything looks to be in the box and in good shape except for a slight molding imperfection on the left wing, upper side, in the blue paint at the wing tip. Not shipping damage. Will not affect flight. Matt, thanks for identifying the screws and making the correction. Helps a bunch. |

Correct - the Guardian is the only gyro you need. Budget 2 channels for the Guardian (1 for mode switching, 1 for adjustable master gain), 3 for gyro control surfaces (ail/ele/rud), 1 for ESC & 1 for flaps.

But who the hell am I to talk. I can't even figure out the wing type. If anyone can tell me which wing type to use I'd really appreciate it. The manual is obviously wrong. There is no (2. Choose Wing/Aircraft Type for single aileron servo.) in the DX8 programing. Nice plane but I'm a heli guy when it comes to all this flap/elevator mixing I'm kinda lost. HELP and old man out will ya. Thanks, Bert |
