[QUOTE=turboparker;26459736][QUOTE=Prof100;26459511].....So, I think our new Carbon Z Cub is a 20% giant scale not 1/4 scale......

Sounds about right to me. My Dynaflite 1/4-scale Super Cub has a 9' span, and she's just shy of 6' from prop hub to tail.

Carbon Z Cub is a tweener in terms of size.

So I see you get the AR635 for $20 with the BNF. Running a PNP with a AR600 should be fine? I have been flying two giant scale gas plane for a while and have done well. I wanted the CZC to push my limits without crashing my $1500 planes. I'm going to read on the AR635.

Also got my 6s lipos. One a 6s 5000mah seems very large. The others are 4000mah.

Here is H9 1/4 scale Cub with 106" wingspan and 66" length. It is mine and it has some big honking wings.

The Sig clipped wing Cub is 86" wingspan and 67" long.
Yep. I think I posted that it was a 1/5 scale model a long ways back in the thread.

I knew about the fine print on pre-orders, have bought a few planes and other stuff from them and they have always been top notch. Wholesale Trains is one of the few places that will pick up the phone when you call. Good luck

Floats arrived early last week so they are available.

The Carbon-Z Cub is shipping from Horizon today.

Hope that helps.

I had a bad experience with WT, which has left me a little leery of them. Part of it was that in my case they didn't respond to email or voice messages.

On the other hand, along with the occasional problem report they also get a number of good mentions on RCG. So maybe my case was an anomaly.

(I know this isn't a vendor-review thread, but since WT came-up as point of discussion I thought it ok to put in this 2 cents........)

Floats are still showing backordered. Is that something that will change today?

Matt,

Does my LHS have to be a high volume top tier vendor to get next day shipping from Horizon? Or do they ship regular ground to everybody? Would love to get mine tomorrow...

Depends. Not if the amount of floats arrving in the first shipment are not enough to fill all the pre-orders.

Looking forward to getting the CZCC wet at our winter float fly here in Fort Worth on Nov 9.
