The AXIOM, my newest design!

Hi everyone,

I would like to present my latest design, the Axiom. The Axiom was designed with a goal in mind: to create an aircraft that is capable of both slow pattern flight, while also being able to perform crazy aerobatic maneuvers like an aeromusical model.

The Axiom is a large model, with almost 253.5 square inches of wing area, and almost 260 square inches of fuselage area.

Specs
WS: 35.25" (89.54 cm)
Length: 36.7" (93.22 cm)
AUW: 5.7oz (161.5g)
Wing area:253.5"^2
Fuselage area:261"^2

Wing Loading: 3.23 oz/ft^2

Despite the model having almost 690 square inches of foam used, the bare gediplac parts weigh a mere 38 grams thanks to milling! Nearly 6.6g was eliminated by milling (this was with a conservative amount of milling too)

Electronics used
Motor: Hack A10-9L
Esc: Turnigy Plush 6A
Servos: HS65MG (Ailerons), Dymond 47 (Strength version, elevator/rudder)
Rx: Lemon Rx 6 Channel
Battery: Turnight Nano-Tech 2cell 300MAH 35-70C

Thank you guys for looking. Feel free to contact me by PM if you have any questions!

Axiom v3 info!

Hi guys,

I just wanted to talk a little about the Axiom V3, and give some specs.

Specs:
WS: 35.25" (89.54 cm)
Length: 36.7" (93.22 cm)
AUW: 5.0-6.0 oz
Wing area: 261"^2
Fuselage area: 254"^2

Recommended equipment:
Motor: Hack A10-9L or Axi 2203/RACE
Esc: Turnigy Plush 6A (Esc of your choice, should weigh under 8 grams)
Servos: HS65MG (Ailerons), Dymond 47(Strength version)/Futaba s3114
Battery: 300-360mah 2/3cell, should weigh under 20g

The main changes made from V2 to V3 were: increased wing area, modified milling template to maximize weight loss, increased control surface areas.

Plans are now for sale!!
It is $10 for a set of plans. This includes cutting templates, milling templates, and hardware templates.

Please understand that this will help me develop future versions of the Axiom line. I currently have an F3P in the works! Stay tuned!

This is Version 2 of my Axiom model. I currently have a V3 in the works.

*** I am currently looking for TWO MORE beta testers for the AXIOM V3 MODEL! PM me or email me at NGkey1x@aol.com
****This is for plans, not a kit!

IF there is enough interest in my model I will consider realeasing my AXIOM V3 plans

Thank you guys for looking. Feel free to contact me by PM if you have any questions!

The ailerons are huge ! The HS65MG is great for this for two reasons: 1) It is fast, 2) It has high torque, and I dont have to worry about stripped gears. Since this model is only running one aileron servo it needs to be good. Sure, a smaller, lighter servo could be used, but it will limit the models performance, and it won't be able to fly like it is intended to.

I'm also a big fan of the hs-65 as an aileron servo on my foamies.

I can't provide you with plans, but if you can get them, the plane is a blast!! You won't be disappointed! If you can, be sure to mill it. If not, no big deal.
Good luck!
