If you could use a more compact form factor the Pixracer or Pixracer Pro are solid choices. I have 3 of the former and always been happy with them.

I've just ordered the Holybro Pixhawk 4 with telemetry. I like everything I'm reading and seeing about the AP and the company that make it. Upgrades compared to other companies out there are very competitive and there customer service is good, I've already been in touch with them. |

They would definitely be up to the task. The PixRacer Pro has 3 IMU's and an H7 proccessor. More Horsepower than the Pixhawk4. But I'm sure you will be happy with that FC. I have other Holybro FC's (Kakute F7's) and the quality is good. There is a good user base also. You will get more comprehensive help on the Ardupilot Forum if you need it. Assuming you plan on using Ardupilot, the PX4 Flight Stack also runs on it. Actually chances are it will come with the PX4 firmware installed.

Which Precommendixhawk to choose this days?
Hi
I'm upgradig both Pix and planes this days, but I'm kind of outdated on which Pixhawk to buy. Earlier I had a HKPILOT32 which was great, but not available anymore. I've looked at the Banggood ones, but are i bit conserned about them(should I be conserned?) The price range is as before, huge. From $51 to about $250. What do you recommend? I need two Pixhawk's as I'm familiar with Pix. I know I can buy another type of boards, but do I then have the same functions as the Pixhawk? Jorn |

Tony-Do you have one of these PixRacers in the link? The reason I ask is there are at least 2 clone versions around, one with 2 IMU's, as per the description in your link, and another with only one. But there is at least one case of the description being wrong and the one IMU version was shipped. I'm just asking if you can confirm that this one is as described. It's easy to tell from the HW ID Screen in Mission Planner.
Don't get me wrong I like PixRacers and have 3 of them and would recommend them also. But it needs to the 2 IMU version. Quote:

I have two older 2.4.6 Pixhawks and 3 2.4.8 Pixhawks. The .6 versions have the 1Mb storage limitation9 AKA Silicon Errata). The 2.4.8s have a full 2mB. Also, the .6s use the older FMU V2 while the 2.4.8s use FMU V3.
Where I have seen the most variations in price is between a "bare bones" kit and a full blown bundle with all of the necessary accessories. |

But one the comment indeed shows that there is only one type of imu but maybe 2 of the same. |

This is the problem buying these, you don't know what you are getting. The description says this:
Sensors: Invensense MPU-6500 3-axis accelerometer/gyroscope Gyro/Accelerometer: Invensense ICM-20608 Accel / Gyro (4 KHz) And it's BS. I think there is also a problem with the FRAM on these. Personally I would not buy from that vendor. If I knew for sure who was selling "good" clones (I have 2) I would go with it. The last one I bought was the right one. https://www.fasttech.com/products/0/...ght-controller |

Pix
I bought two standard Pixhawks 2.4.8 from Aliexpress for $100. I have one at home, but I had a crash with it a few years ago and donīt trust it to be safe as the GPS is on and off with several GPSīs. I also have a Radiolink Mini Pix which just stopped working the other day.

I have replaced the 2.4.8's I had but they worked OK for me. I would not buy another Radiolink Mini-Pix or anything else form Radiolink. Their latest versions of this they cheapened it by removing components and Ardupilot no longer supports it. Plus there is this note:
https://ardupilot.org/copter/docs/co...k-minipix.html I like the F/H7 boards from Matek and Holybro. A lot of functionality in a small package for a good price. If the bare board form factor works for you that is. I understand it won't for some. Quote:
