A Bonka 1300 mAh 70C pack is featured in this review, head to head with an SMC 37A true-spec. More testing of these packs is coming soon, including high-discharge rates of 40 and 60 amps. The Bonka pack did not do spectacularly better than the SMC at the 20A discharge rate used in this test. I'm really looking forward to finding out what happens when we really push these packs.

In round 2 of the testing, I take the batteries down to 14.0 volts, instead of 80% discharge capacity. Still only testing at 20 amps for now. 40 amp testing will post tomorrow morning at 9:00 AM!

Just received my second 5400 2S Truespec after being pleased with everything about the first one (shipping and info as well as the pack itself).
I have three questions: If I were to crack open the hard-case, would I find the same type of shrink-tube protection that "soft packs" have? Do you offer any bulk pricing? I have found that this 5400 hardpack fits everything that my group runs except the 1/16 Revos. If bulk pricing is available, please explain the numbers. Finally, (this was sparked by question 2). Do you have plans to offer anything in a size that will fit the 1/16 TRX vehicles? I've been running Nano-Tech 2.2 that fit nicely. Pretty satisfied with them but after many cycles they are starting to swell and lose run-time. |
