Horns & waveforms

You can make a waveguide out of steel & solder.

That gets a decent shotgun pattern, but nothing like control tower radar. It's not grounded or connected to the antenna.

With 17x amplification from the MAX412, it makes the expected waveform. The 1st problem is getting the proper VCO sweeping curve, which is not linear. The current curve makes lots of ghosts & spreads reflections over too many frequencies to detect anything.

The next problem is getting enough ADC resolution to handle the extremely wide dynamic range. You can't just analyze the section under 50mV. The entire sweep range is needed.
