If you need any help with translation I could also help!
as for the rights: Hilmar has sold the rights to the Aviator magazin.
I would ask the magazin if it is ok to sell kits.
There´s als a german company which sell shortkits for the Hibou (also published by Aviator) but they also asked for publishing rights?!?!

Thanks for the Info Toby.

Good to know stuff that I wouldn't have known otherwise.

I used the E-mail reply feature on the web page listed at the TOP.

IS hat the Magazine or Hilmar ? or has it been deactivated ?

I wont be selling Kits, which by my definition is everything needed to build the model.
I just do Cutout as a service.
Like You might give a friend a few dollars to do a cut out for you.

I have written to [email protected]

OK for Dave and Walt I've made PDF's of both sizes on my layout.

Note:
The enlarged version was done by simple scaling so the Servo holes and other wing holes my be too large.

Hello Bob,

thank you for your interest in my design JETSON.
As Toby said, the legal rights belong to the publishing house Wellhausen & Marquardt Medien, Hamburg, Germany - where you already have sent an e-mail.

Let's wait what they will say to your request, but I don't think that it will be a big problem to cut out some parts for you and few close friends. As long as you don't sell them in public, e.g. via e-bay.

The cnc-cut parts for HIBOU are officially permitted by the publisher, by the way.

I hope you have fun building JETSON and I am looking forwart to seeing some build-pics from you. If there appear any questions concerning translation or whatever, feel free to ask here in this thread, I will watch it now.

Best regards from Muenster, Germany
Hilmar Lange.

Thanks for the info and update , Hilmar.

I like the Hibou !

So far no response from the company.

I guess I will NOT put the cuttings up for sale on my site just yet.
I am NOT and E-bay retailer.

I just cut foam for those folks not willing or able to go thru the trouble of,
printing, cutting, pasting, cutting again, aligning and cutting out parts by hand.

I dont intend to ever provide a full hobby shop type offering,
JUST cut the foam Period !

If you want to continue this discussion just e-mail me at my site.

Best to all interested partys,

Bob

But please be patient.
My web site and e-mail are currently both DOWN since Thursday PM !
I've never had a problem like this since 2006 either.

PM me if you are in a hurry.

Wow it's been 6 yrs since I thought about this model.

It Looks like a terrific flyer.

Lots of fuselage interior too.

I'd be afraid of those linkages on the bottom of the wing though.

Good work.

Best

the linkages on the bottom are no problem. I never got stuck with it.
The Jetson is really easy to build, looks great and flies fantastically.
