Anyone have any tips for not losing orientation in rolling harriers or circles when coming directly towards you? I'm good with both in any direction other than nose straight in towards me.

Truth is, I think it would help you to only focus on the nose and the maintaining the rolling. Truthfully, adjusting may be unnecessary because every 1/4 second or so, you are in a familiar orientation, and it is not in an odd orientation long enough to have to make a decision. Make sense?

I think my problem is that I focus on the wings (I think.. ) and from the front it's harder to tell which way is up. I've tried using the nose as a reference before, and I find it hard to keep track that way. I have no problem flying towards myself either upright, inverted, or knife edge, but once I add rolls into it, my brain stops working.

That's normal in the beginning
Work on flat turns and harriers.
That will really get your left thumb trained up

Still very much a rookie, decades in RC but only 7 months flying and still having tons of fun like it was my first day. I really want rolling harriers too but not there yet. I am getting comfortable with rolling circles, keeping straight, and did my first rolling loop that stayed fairly on axis. I’m using mostly elevator and try to work in rudder but my timing gets messed up, working the rudder while rolling is definitely the toughest part for me. I assume just keep practicing and rolling harriers will come. My latest 2 videos just a bunch of rolling stuff and harrier

Nice work PensFan
Once you start doin this stuff, you just can't stop.

Keep at the rolling circles.
Roll left while turning right, and vice versa.
Run through all of the options.
Try not to get in a one direction rut.

Come on Spring!

This is frustrating
I don't know how the double post happened, and I can't delete it.

Sorry

Thanks! It’s definitely fun. And good advice, I need to work on the opposite way
