The Amigos are up early to go fly power this morning. But Fermin is going to be packed today with an event in the park. We are not flying there today the parking lot will be totally full with a lot of traffic in the landing area.

What model is the current king of Fermin. Last time I was around these parts it was the Taz or the Shredder (Fermin Death Missile)

Heh ...

Another opportunity to shamelessly post my Fermin video:

Flyin' Fermin.mp4 (5 min 27 sec)

My my, how times have changed since I posted that video: My sport cameras now shoot 1080p HD, my planes don't trail antennas anymore, my hair is grey, and there's not as much of it.

Maybe it's time for "Flyin' Fermin, the sequel".

The death missile is probably still the fastestes, of course it will only fly in 35 plus mph. Ian

There are some pics in this thread. Not sure which of John's planes they are actually referring to as the "Death Missile", probably the Shreda (pg 2). But the Taz is John's plane as well. That plane is fast too.

Okay, since we don't have a thread in the power forum, I'll just post these here. The landing gear mounting blocks broke out of my P-47 a while back, so I finally got around to fixing it.

I was tempted to strip the whole wing and re-cover it with silver solartex. But I don't really want to spend that much time on this plane. I'd rather just fly it and spend the time working on bigger and better things!

So I'm ready to go for Sunday guys!

Thanks for the solartex and iron Morri!

OK, I just have to ask, I thought this was a flying spot, not a swimming one???
Ian, glad the water is warm down there, don't try that if you make it to Blanco (Eagle is probably OK though).
