Ya the ranger actually told us that he doesn't control white point....and ya a lot of the f3f guys fly there...but from what I've heard there can be issues with the baseball field "manager" or something like that....I've personally never flown there

Fyi advice from a San Pedro local, he said that the rangers only work till 5PM. So maybe fly after 5PM?

The park rangers are out of control right now. Best to lay low and let it go for a while. White Point is NOT a park--so they have no jurisdiction there--but the lift is NO WHERE NEAR what Fermin is!! It's plenty flyable for big 3 meter race planes--but no heavy PSS!!

Bummer that some people feel that suicide could ever be a solution. I didn't know his pain though. R.I.P.

That is unfortunate!

It happens way too much there, usually jumpers though.

This is good advice - everyone just lay-low and it will blow over...

It seems that had someone been flying there, a suicide might have been prevented!

It was probably in the middle of the night / very early morning. Hopefully not a Fermin flier.

I'm laying low, it's been hard not to go there with these big winds and me getting off at 3pm 10 mins away, but I would rather keep it mellow. I am not a local either, I am one of those damn OC guys but I am respectful and if it was my local hill.... I would ask for the same consideration. It'll blow over....no puns intended.
