New Smithsonian webpage: 3-D views

Here is a link to an Apple computer page about the Air and space museum using quicktime virtual reality to film their aircraft- inside the cockpit as well as the outside. There is a link to the actual smithsonian page, which is under construction.

Right now you can 'tour' the cockpit of a concorde, as well as look at a piper cub and monocoupe externally. This looks like it will be a really cool site when it's finished- lots of scale detail, from any angle, inside and out.

Oh, yah, the link: http://www.apple.com/hotnews/article.../02/udvarhazy/

Here is a link to all of the virtual reality shots that are available:

After reading the article, it seems that most of the movies will only be available at the museum, visible in kiosks. Hopefully, they will all be available on the web.
