From Funds

What do you mean by "from funds"?

I have $ in my paypal account, I sent some $ to someone in payment for something I purchased and he said it cost him $ to get it and asked for more $ to cover that.

I don't understand, I was under the impression that a seller always incurred fees for payment.

Help me out here...

When a seller says "from funds" it means that they have a personal paypal account. Those accounts will not accept creditcard payments (unless you upgrade). The personal accounts have no trasactions fees. From funds is monies from a balance or drawn from your bank account.

I have 2 accts (1 personal and 1 premier- this is alowed by Paypal) I usually state "from funds preferred", but I will take CC payments- but why pay fees if I don't have to.....

Hope this clears things up.

UPDATE- right now I have 2 offers to sale is pending.

thanks for that explanation, I guess I should get a personal account also besides my existing one.

BUT: the funds transfered to the seller from my account came from my funds. If he has a personal account how come there were fees? Does that mean no fees if between personal accounts only. No mixing...
