What's the possibility to getting a 5v feed line added to the GoPro harness? I'd be nice to have the option to power the camera off a 5v BEC.

Add a 5v line to the GoPro and make a mounting bracket for the F550 and you will sell tons of these

why would you want a 5v when gopro3 can last a long time.. at least it would not out of battery halfway flying if you somehow charged it?!

the gopro battery is heavy.. I would like to fly with a tiny gopro battery and a 5v charge from the flight pack.

The 5v could come from anywhere; Rx, FC, BEC, UBEC, etc. The included GP3 USB cable just needs the voltage and gnd leads added. One can choose to use or not use the voltage feed, but as is, has no choice but not use it.

I don't know how long a GP3 battery can/will last, but I've had my GP1 battery die on me in flight before...good reason for RTH capability. I've read, elsewhere, the GP3 black won't work unless the battery is installed...so running 5v power to the camera might not be a weight savings as the battery has to be installed. I don't know how true this is or isn't...just what I read.

Mine just turned up over here in Australia.
Looks pretty good so far and packaged up much better than the ARRIS one I got.
More soon...:-)
