HobbyZone Delta Ray. A trainer wing.

Hobby Zone Delta Ray. Looks interesting for beginners who do not want the typical trainer look. It is technically a flying wing.

Looks nice, but I'd prefer one without that complex radio system. Perhaps they'll offer it as a conventional ARF.

It's interesting to see a twin delta. I've been considering a twin conversion of a Balsa USA Enforcer delta kit for quite some time, so it's great to see a similarly configured model fly.

Thanks for the video!!!

It looks like a new wing design and reciever on a firebird stratos fuselage. Interesting

I might need to buy this one and upgrade it to a 3s system.

Nice thread on it in the beginner training area, with some input from the Horizon Hobby guys.

I really like it. I've been teaching myself on a Firebird Stratos and have had great success. My one flight with a four channel plane, my Parkzone Archer?? Yah, ended in by far the worst crash I've had while flying.

If I had something like SAFE on the Archer, I'd still be flying...instead, I'm waiting for a few replacement parts to arrive.

For the $180 cost of the Delta Ray I'm seriously considering going with one, and putting the Archer away until I'm used to flying the Delta Ray. I already have a DX6i, so the radio that comes with it is a bit useless to me...except for the fact that it has the nice switch to change the "mode" that SAFE is in. I've read you can do this with the trainer switch on the DX6i, but it's not as intuitive as a three way switch like the one that comes on the TX that comes with the Delta Ray.

Another reason I'm thinking about picking it up is I just REALLY like the way it looks. It's very cool looking, kind of like some kind of NASA space plane or something. I like it, a lot.

If you do, keep in mind that the plane doesn't have a rudder, it uses differential thrust from the two motors to effectively "mix" a rudder for the plane, so if you try to upgrade it you'll have to find some way to work that into the system...

...or, you could always get another micro servo and cut a rudder yourself, I suppose.
