Yes I've seen that. Better than a cartoon character inspired plane and more of a Stryker style trainer. I would have bought that as my first RC plane. I actually taught myself to fly rc planes on the original Parkzone Stryker and Stryker B, which were really the same plane. They just changed the Elevons and the name to the Stryker B.

So it's not the 9th anymore? Shoot, I had a week of leave after that.

I'm not a huge fan of the cartoon planes but I do kinda like some of these.

charger question

Can one of these be used for charging the batteries for this plane: https://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...arehouse_.html ?
And how do you set up the charger since there's no discharge lead?

No. Wrong connector, and it's also for 1S batteries.

I use this for charging my eFlite 2S batteries: http://www.buddyrc.com/micro-paraboard-ph3.html

Something like this would work too: http://www.rc-connectors.com/index.p...roducts_id=372

So with the one you use, do you set it for 2s, or 12s?

2S. Charging in parallel, it's like one bigger 2S battery. You add up the capacities, and multiply by the C rate you want to charge at. For example, if you have 3 200mAh batteries, that's 600 mAh. 3C would mean you then charge at 1.8 amps.

Make sure all the batteries are at similar charge rates. If they aren't exactly the same, they will cross-charge until they are, even before you start your charger. If they are too far apart this might happen too fast.

HK has a good one and they work great!
charges all lipos like one big 2s pack...
and you don't have to worry if one lipo is at 20% and others are at 40% or 50% etc
just plug them in, and they will start to balance out on their own and then start the charger and charge away

Oh Ben! You are so close it's not funny!

I've been doing quite a few tests over several flights/days (weather permitting) to make sure all is OK with the model.

With these little tweaks, it is flying really nicely. This thing is pretty fast and can slow right down too.

In summary: I thought it had a thrust line issue and it flew like it did. I made a mod to see if it corrected it and it did to some degree but that got me thinking that maybe the HH boys just got the CG wrong because eyeballing it - it looked pretty neutral to me. So I tested that to see if I was right. It turns out the recommended CG location is out and after finding the real CG got the Habu flying real nice.

I can edit some hatcam video together if you guys like, but I am rambling on about things I am checking so may dub the audio.
Hoping to get weekend video and flights in with the boys at A51 this weekend if the weather behaves but it's looking shaky.

30kt winds. holy @(#*$&%.

Just so you know, I'm going to save your prior post so that I can show it to people who get all crabby when I tell them part of trimming and setting up a plane is to locate the CG and not just blindly trust what a manual tells them. Ladies and Gentlemen, here's an expert who knows what rc model flying is all about.

Looking forward to the vids, Nitro. Thanks for putting them out there!
