Don't panic!
Parts and accessories page gives some idea about internals, like 1100kV motors or 10A ESCs

RTF comes with DX5e (boo) yet BNF is available too.

Too many? No such thing.

I want to touch it!

It may seem pricy, but I have the nQX and Apprentice S 15e and I am a big fan of SAFE mode. That alone is worth the money. This thing has GPS/Altitude lock, stops the props on object collision and has a Return Home function that lands itself back at the starting position on top of SAFE and AS3X. I will have to make a video of my son flying it. Wait....where is the video of it?

The Blade 350 QX - Coming This Fall (1 min 40 sec)

Now I need some of it flying. I am so wishing I did not buy the SQ1 V-Cam with the TTX650. That was $250 I could have put towards this.

Not a six pack

I think it would be interesting to put the controller/gps/compass on my own quad. However the price is very 'up there'. But a couple things might make it worth it. 1) I am using Spektrum - I assume this has a built in rx. 2) Can this be updated with future firmware?

The fact it has gps/alt hold and RTH make it attractive but if updates require new purchases then like the guys in the shark tank, "I'm out".

Once the manual comes out we will have to see what is possible.

Needs More Go Fast....

I think this thing is awesome for people who have no interest in figuring out how to put one together for themselves. This is no different than helis in that you can *always* "make" your own cheaper, or you can spend a little more and just buy one. You have to pay for convenience.

When you consider the price it's pretty good deal, I wouldn't recommend the RTF to anybody though, get the BNF and go find a DX6-8 for you have the computer bits. And if anything it's a MUCH better deal than the DJI Phantom which is a couple bills more and you don't get a lot of the features.

VS what? Compare it to a multiwii and yeah seems over priced, but then start reading the MWC threads and find out how many people can't seem to figure out how to edit the // in a config.h/define.h
Now compared to a NAZA, the blade $$ isn't bad

I'd rather be flying!

Now, this certainly looks interesting! I think I just found my next FPV platform.

Own more than one? Do not tell my wife that thought even entered my head. I had to put a blue canopy on one of my nCPX's so she would think they were 2 different helis.

Blade designed the Quad to be out of the box, ZERO setup... charge and fly. For that, you can not compare it to a MWC setup price that requires users to know what they are doing to put the Heli together and programmed properly. Blade is a commercial product line for customers who don't need or care about program setup and code. they just want something that works right out of the box. No Fuss, No mess.

:)
YES! About time this happened

I was really hoping for a stripped back sport quad like the mQX though, and not a phantom competitor. Seems more streamlined than the phantom. Looks good.

Here's the Blade page too...
