If it has wings it will fly...
ckleanth's Avatar
Hi, I'm trying to rebuild my EF laser 60 v1 but I'm missing some parts that are not included in the MB kit.

I thought to ask whether someone may have traced these missing parts and willing to share the drawing so i can copy them on cad and laser cut them?
(and save me the time to piece them back together and trace them)?

Thanks

Hello nice planes, I want to buy one of these, but how many minutes of flight time do you get with the electric set up. Another question the pilot figures comes with the kit?

I use 6s 3700 packs and let it rip for 5 hard minutes and land at 25%. If I am judicious with the throttle I can get an easy 6 -6:30.

If I were buying new packs I would use 3300 and keep things lighter.

Different strokes for different folks. I enjoy mostly sport flying aerobatics with my 60s. I think 3700s are perfect, but I also quite often fly mine on 6S 4500s, and for me the the performance is very good. But then I'm not a low and slow aficionado.

I run 3300s and get 6:30 mixed flying.
Come down between 25 and 30%

I really like 3700, but I love the 3300. I bet it would handle a 5000 too, but the old sailplane guy in my head says lighter is better.

100% electric since 1990

I fly with a 6S 4000 mA pack of Turnigy Nanotech. 6 to 7 minutes flight time with 25 to 30% left

What is interesting, is that I actually get longer flights flying 3-D then I do when flying more conventional IMAC style aerobatics. This plane can really float.

I also use a 4500 ma pack of zippy compact, roughy the same performance. Really no need for a lighter pack- I can do a harrier landing with no rollout with the 4000.

What is interesting I use 2700 packs, and I also get 6.30 min IMAC + 3D ending at 30% -33%. When I do a lot of hovering I finish at 6min.
Total weight od the model is 2580g with 2700 packs.
I guess that bigger packs weight more and it doesn't always mean longer flying time.

That is interesting- I haven't actually bought a pack for this plane- I'm just flying what I have, up to 6000 mah (just to say I did). If I buy any new packs, I will get some 3300's with a high C rating. The plane can float so I know I will get good flight times with the smaller packs.

Not all read more than one thread.

Hopefully, the selected threads will reach the target audience(s).

Thanks again for answering the question in the Power thread.
