The reason is simple. I think the original length of the blades on the plan was 400mm. But I found also information in the thread that some people are using blades 450 mm long. So I was interested what is the maximum size. I thought than longer blades can provide more lift and are better for a bit heavier model.

Hello,
I've read this very interesting thread and now I would like to build and try gyro flying. But is it possible to find this Whippit plan? Drawings are not in this first post. And nowhere when when looking for them with google. Is it possible to find them ? Thanks!

The original plans where taken down by Rich. Suggest you contact him directly for the plan or try and get a copy of the original publication it was published in.

Apologies to RH for uploading the plans, not my place to do so. Suggest that anyone wanting a Whippit Plan try and get a copy of the magazine it was first published in which was RC Model World August 2014

I was asked to remove it by Rich Harris as I think he has another version on the way.

OK but as it is in the public domain I would have thought it was OK.

Looks like a DAG/Cruiser hybrid. I think you should do it but make it big with a gasser.
