Now I've really gone and done it....

A couple of posts back I mentioned a bipe version of the Tuff Cub....

Well it wasn't an idle comment. After much trail and error (much error.....) I present my latest "noobie" innovation the Tuff Cub Bipe (still not really sure what to call it, suggestions will be considered just remember this is a "family rated" forum )

Here's the Specs, pic's below;

Upper Wing Span 38.5 in
Lower Wing Span 30 in
4 Chan (Ailerons Upper and Lower Wings)
Motrofly DM2210-1080
3S 10 X 4.7 SF, 2S 12 X 6

3S Pair of EFlite 450 mah 30C (better batts in route)
2S Pair of Thunder Power 730 mah 25C

AUW (3S with Landing Gear) 20.78 ounces

Handling is completely different, not better, not worse, just different. Not an indoor flyer any more but very stable and once trimmed can be flown hands off. Not capable of extreme slow flight but that is my fault for going past my weight budget but I'm pleased with the final (well almost final still working on a better lighter landing gear setup) product. Vids to follow but as it is I did the final test flight in a light rain after church today.

I got to see Greg's tuff cub with lights at neat fair and it looked great at night. I really liked the foam engine details. It makes a great night flyer.

Tuff Cub Mod

To All,

As you can tell from the earlier photos this plane is a "major" mod to the most excellent Tuff Cub, I took this by Greg and Barb's (WMPF) when I was picking up some more lights. Hey Greg you said you wanted to see this fly, well here is a night flight for you. Still working on getting a daytime video that shows just what she can do, but until then I hope you enjoy the light show.

Recomended control surface throws

One thing that can make a plane difficult to fly is too much throw on the control surfaces. So here are my recommended throws for the Tuff-Cub. I have also posted these underneath my build pictures on the first page.

Hey everyone - WMPF is having a pumpkin hunt on Halloween.
There will be a pumpkin or Jack-o-lantern that will pop up at some point during the day on a random page. The first person to click on the link will win one air frame of their choice for .01 plus $7.00 for shipping. Happy Hunting and Good Luck.
