I got my Logo 10!

Hi all--I just picked up a new Logo 10 kit this evening from RC Direct. Verv nice looking solid chopper--rotor head and tail drive are pretty much taken from the larger Logo 16/20 choppers. I plan to use a Aveox 1412/2 motor on 12 or 14 cells. Should be a nice flying machine. Should be flying this weekend--I hope!

The Logo 10 needs a motor with a rpm/volt around 1300-2000 . I would guess that the X250 should work ok but it migh be a little lacking in torque when you put in alot of collective(rpm may drop) I think there are pinion gears that range from 13-19 teeth. The controller you have is fine for the Logo 10.

what's the gear ratio on it?

I think the hacker 8L on my Voyager is around 2000kv, think that might work on it?

The B40-8L has a Kv of approximately 3750 rpm / volt. Someone else reported the Logo 10's maingear is 200 teeth so 200 / 13 = 15.39:1

The Logo should use a motor with a KV of between 1300 and 2000. The smallest pinion is 13 teeth.

I have been trying to decide if I want to keep my elmh and get a gas raptor or sell the elmh and get a logo 10. I want a 3D chopper and an electric chopper but I am thinking that I would like the long flight times of the raptor. I don't need 2 electric heli's. And the elmh is great for messing aroung in the front yard. the problem of course with the raptor is the normal gas pains. What to do, what to do????

logo 10

i just picked up my logo-10 today, also from rc-direct in san diego -- they told me they have a few more in stock -- motor will be kontronic, also in stock -- for esc i will be using schulze 45.

upon opening the box and inspection of the goodies i am very impressed, this is a beautifully made helicopter, very complete, and with an excellent manual with lots of clear photographs, reminding me of the great manual which comes with the (e)lmh which i also own.

i plan on using the logo-10 to upgrade to collective pitch but i plan to keep my elmh also.

Does the tail boom come off like the 20?

You have to convert it to CCPM?

Tail boom , tail drive, and rotor head for the most part came form the Logo 20/16 chopper. This should be a nice chopper to "over power" for those that want to do "3D" stuff as it is very stiff but lightweight.
