New project Cessna Skymaster large size!

Here is my new project. Cessna Skymaster. I'm converting a Kondor Models Fiberglass kit to electric.Wing is 89", has flaps also. Plan is to use 2 C50-15l Hacker motors on 6S4P Thunder power LiPo packs. Trying to have it done in time for the 1/8 Air Force Scale Fly-In in March.

The plane is almost completed. Using Axi 41/20/18 motors with 13 x 10 props on CC 60 AMP esc and 6S4P Lipo packs. Don't have weight yet. Should be completed within the next two weeks. It is one big plane.

Oooooooh pretty!
Can't wait to see the finished pics! Is this a new kit from a new company? I don't know much about Kondor Models.

Excellent Bob! Should have plenty of power and lots of run time with that setup. I like the trim scheme. The flaps should be very effective on a big model like this. Nice scale landings.

Also will be curious on the AUW. I have a gold edition topflight giant Skylane stashed that I would love to build up light and power with a big Axi and lipo's. Similar wingspan.(81") 10-12lbs built "wet", ouch!

Flying weight should be 15 lbs. Motors have been revised to use Hacker C50-15L w 6.7:1 gearbox, 16 x 10 APC electric props, 48 AMP Master ESC and 6S4P 8000 ma Thunder Power LiPo batteries . Should be flying with two to three weeks. Here are some pictures of the motor installation:

Very cool, Bruff. I remember flying a club member's venerable Royal Cessma Skymaster with a couple of .40 glow motors. His model was a little heavy, but was well rigged and flew very nicely.

Your large electric one should be a great model.

Bob,

Will you be flying her out of the CASL field? I'd love to see this baby up close.
