Pigi CG confusion -- help!

Hi everyone,

The Pigi instructions say the CG is 310-320mm (31-32cm) back from the nose of the plane, yet the CG is *pictured* as being about 26cm from the nose.

Would appreciate some advice -- unfortunately already build battery mount to 310mm

My Pigi need the CG moved forward quite a bit before it became stable.

The Pigi we have at the shop has the cg 12 inches back from the firewall. Give that a try firs.

Thanks for the tip Billy, 310mm is about 12 inches so it seems my CG is the same as yours. Still, much farther back than the thickest part of the wing. Will this thing fly normally or just hover?

The house bird is conservative. I have never measured the CG on my bird. I run the 1700 nimh pack and usually velcro the pack 1 cell back from the landing gear.

On my pigi, I find it stable, but not much good for anything but hovering, at the recommended CG point. Very difficult to do inverted flat spins, etc.

I move it about half way from there, up to the rear edge of the reciever cutout, and it is much better for everything else, besides hovering.
