Who did you get to do the laser cutting?
Looks like it would have to move fast. |

Paul,
I like it! Almost looks like one of those control line racers (the ones with only one blade on the propeller...) How much wing area? Power system? Looks like its big enough for rc2400's. Now retracts would be a nice touch too Scott |

Steve, just a local company with a laser.
Ozprey, more just general sport.... definately not 3D as there are loads of those. Scott, I decided to keep the fuse in it's scaled down size, and just make a real wing... as it sits now it's 44" long, 43" w/s, 340 squares... I'm not sure what I'll use for power, hopefully something I have will work. Yeah, I think RC2400's would work, but I was thinking more along the lines of the bigger lipolys, why not have a plane that can fly for 2 hours.. ? I've been working on the wing's all day today. There's quite a bit of other stuff I need to do to it as well.. Depending on many things, maybe I can actually get a 'can be built to fly' cut next weekend and buy some covering and such while getting it cut. The screencaptures of the CAD suck, but here's another 2 view with the different wing in place... ailerons not in the pic yet... but you can see where they go.. I guess it's more like a cap or edge wing now... |

Looks kinda like a Cap wing! You still around? I am going to try to get out with the Cap, F3D, Groove this weekend somewhere...
If you can keep it light the AXI 2808-20 or -24 and 3s 2200 Irate lipos would be a great combo... Love it in my Groove. You need to leave Bill alone and let him get on with his own laser cutting Scott |

Good job paul. I have to try this CAD stuff sometime soon (like I have time for it) I wouldn't even know where to begin. Nice stuff.
I like the layout sheets show below.. pretty cool -Steve |

Thanks Steve.
I've spent just about all of today re-doing everything. I think I'm going to go back to the original wing design.. swept LE, straight TE.. just make some more span.. I don't care for the cap wing. Here's the latest... though you can't see it, there's quite a few changes... |
