Does any one know how to tile a plan in adobe?


Im probably in the wrong forum but,

Does any one know how to tile a plan in adobe?
I have a plan that needs tiling but cant figure it out
on my own. I have been trying for days......

Adobe what?

And by tiling, do you mean splitting it up over various pages for printing? Or what?

And this should be in Off Topic Discussion except you're not allowed to start a thread there as you don't have the requisite 50 posts!

The Builders Workshop would be a good forum. It's pretty close to CAD etc. Well it is if Funflier1 does in fact mean he wants to print a .pdf file on multiple pages and not something completely different .

That is what i wanted to do , print a plan using multiple pages

I have it figured out now, But thanks for trying

All you have to do is print the full size plan to adobe pdfWriter

If you're running UNIX of some form (Linux, BSD etc), you can get a small program called 'poster' which will tile your Postscript files for you. This is what I have used to produce A4 tiled plans. Admittingly, I go from DXF->Postscript (print to a file using a Postscript driver)->Tile using Poster->Convert to PDF (using ps2pdf)
