Hi all,

the last time I started to build a VIIc. The most of you know the Sub from different build logs. So I will show you my solutions and ideas.

You can also follow my report at: www.pressluft-u-boot.de The page is only in german. But if you have questions, feel free to ask me here!

best regards

Sascha

Sasha,
Very nice build.
On the propellor, how did you lengthen the end to make that nice taper? Did you turn a cone first then add it?

Hi,

no that was my first try to turn a cone. The Problem is that the cone not fit very well and the tip runs out of center. So first I cut the old cone and solded a 10mm brass round and than I turned it. So you get a nice running prop.

So you are remaking the whole deck?
Were you dissatisfied with the Engel version?

Hi,

yes i will Remake the complete deck. Look at the pics above and you can see the difference. The original is made by a 2mm file and 2mm cutter. So this new deck is accurate, and with 1mm much more scale.

The other thing is that I am a little scale fetish ; )
